Mirror, Mirror, on the Wall…

I might be wrong, but I think most women my age would agree that sometimes it’s hard to look in the mirror and see all those changes that make you realize you’re not 29, 39, or even 49 anymore.

You may FEEL like it, but your body says otherwise.

When you use an app to hide your flaws–it might make you feel good for the moment–until you take another look in the mirror and see the real you. Facelifts, Botox, makeup, and clothes that are flattering don’t change the fact that you are getting older.

If you are having a hard time looking at FB, Instagram, or even at your best friend without feeling jealous, sad, or wishing  you looked like THEM, then maybe it IS time for a change–a change in your heart.img_3670

It’s times like these that i realize the importance of making sure I’m giving as much attention to the condition of my heart as I am giving to my appearance.

“…for God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7
