“We were saved with this hope ahead of us. Now hope means we are waiting for something we do not have. How can a man hope for something he already has? But if we hope for something we do not yet see, we must learn how to wait for it.” Romans 8:24-25
We recently purchased our first 1000 piece puzzle. My husband’s parents were coming to Florida for a visit, so we thought this would be a good thing to have around for all of us to work on together. It was a GREAT idea—something that we all took interest in, but boy did it take a lot of patience.
There was one statement that we all said at different times – almost daily: “I can’t believe I can’t find this one piece. It looks like it would be so obvious.” Isn’t that the way it is with life? Something looks like it’s the obvious answer, and then you find yourself shaking your head—realizing you made the wrong decision.
It seems like we are always searching for that one thing that will make our life complete. Maybe you are that piece that’s trying to figure out where you fit in. No matter what the circumstances are, it can be frustrating and discouraging at times when you have to wait, but what a joy it is when that one piece finally snaps into place– because you didn’t give up.
