In His Eyes
Something I found worth capturing – in my eyes – in my garden.
The older I get, the more I realize how true it is that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. As I walked through the exhibits at our county 4-H fair, I found myself admiring many photographs that were either framed or part of a collage. Some were absolutely stunning, to the point where I wished I had been there to see it in person. The others? Although a few didn’t exactly appeal to me, I understood why they were something special to the photographer. Made me realize how we all look at things so differently. Pretty amazing how God made us all unique.
Do you struggle with the image you see in the mirror? I certainly do. Daily. Although my concerns and disappointments have changed over the years – I have found that I never seem to be satisfied. I have to wonder what our maker thinks about that – when I can’t see the beauty that He says He created in me. In you.
So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. Genesis 1:27
For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was
none of them. Psalm 139:13-16
Another great one!
